The web world is accessed by thousands of people nowadays for information. Hence, different organizations or even individuals are coming up with own websites to market products, services or just to provide information.

After the website development, the most important process is to host it on a web server. You can follow two paths i.e. host it on own server or rent it from Internet Service Provider (ISP). This article will try to highlight on different aspects of web hosting using an ISP.

Storing your website on a server provided by ISP has its own advantages like:-

i.Connection speed – is quite high. So, visitors to your site won’t have to wait long for accessing information or to complete a transaction.
ii.Hardware provided is extremely powerful. The web servers provided by ISP can accommodate several companies. Also they ensure effective load balancing and necessary backups.
iii.Security and stability – are maintained by ISPs. Their servers usually have 99% up time, latest software patches and best virus protection.

While selecting the ISP for web hosting, you should clarify certain points:-

i.Ensure that it offers round the clock support. With web sites you never know what problems may crop up any time. If you need to wait till the next working day to fix critical problems, then there remains enough doubt about the ISPs efficiency.
ii.The ISP should stick to daily back up schedule to prevent loss of valuable data.
iii.Ensure if the ISP is having any traffic volume restriction, i.e., in case footfalls increase in your website is there a need to pay more.
iv.If the ISP is having any restriction related to bandwidth or content publication, i.e. limitations related to pictures or videos or sound uploading.

Choose the ISP prudently after considering all options.
